About us

collage We thought you would like to know a bit more about the people behind Counselling2u.com. We are the directors of Counselling2u.com and we would like you to get to know us.

ME

My name is - I suppose you could call me the business side of Counselling2u.com. My background is running small to medium businesses. So how and why did I get involved in such a different area ? The why is simple, after researching the market I noticed there was a gap in the market for a company to use Internet based technology to offer a full range of counselling services. Our criteria for the company is to offer the highest level of service at a competitive price. When you order a product or a counselling session, your concerns should stop when you place your order. The how is the personal side and although all us businessmen think we are hard nosed wheeler dealers, this is often a mask. I have known Jean for many years as her husband works for my engineering business. I started to learn more about the benefits of Counselling following the help she gave to a relative following a major breakdown and subsequent relapse. As I spend most of my day either talking to customers by phone and e-mail, I started to consider the idea of people being able to contact a counsellor from the comfort of their home or office. Face to face counselling is an important part of the recovery process, however the most difficult step is the first step and our aim is to make this step easier. I have been married to for 19 years and we have a son and daughter. I have a passion for watching rugby and we are members of Northampton Rugby club. Other hobbies include ballroom and Latin dancing, skiing and working out.

HER

Hello and welcome to Counselling2u.com. My name is S and I am one of the directors of Counselling2u.com. I have been married to for 19 years. We have two children, an 18 year old son and a daughter of 15. I love horses and monkeys, my main hobbies are gardening, Latin and ballroom dancing and jigsaw puzzles. I am involved in this venture through my own personal life experience and feel I can add to the team of directors by being a previous user of counselling services . Like many people I had heard of counsellors but never thought I would need one. When I actually did have the need for counselling the answer was so clear. It was nice to talk to somebody that was not there to judge me or to smirk at what I said but to guide me through what at the time I can only describe as sifting through sand. From the first session I had full confidence and respect towards my counsellor and I realise it was definitely my first step towards recovery. There is no way of telling how many sessions anyone will need as we are all individuals with different needs. I shall leave you with a lovely thing that was said to me and I would like to pass it on to you. You are not breaking down, You are breaking through.
